Center for LNG Launches Facebook Presence

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) announced today that it has launched a fan page on Facebook. This latest expansion of CLNG’s social media presence will allow those interested in learning more about CLNG and the LNG industry to interact and communicate with CLNG through Facebook by becoming “fans.”
The Hill Online Publishes Center for LNG White Paper “LNG’s Role in the U.S. Energy Mix”

The Hill Online has published “LNG’s Role in the U.S. Energy Mix,” an informative information resource prepared by the Center for Liquefied Natural Gas. The document is available on both the Energy and Natural Gas sections of The Hill Online’s “White Papers” Portal.

The Baltimore Sun Publishes CLNG Letter to the Editor Highlighting LNG Industry’s Robust Safety and Security Measures

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) submitted the following letter to the editor of the Baltimore Sun in response to a March 30 op-ed entitled “Danger at our doorstep.” The letter refutes author Charles Faddis’ inaccurate claims about the liquefied natural gas industry’s safety and security. The Baltimore Sun published the letter in its April 2 edition.
Natural Gas Council Opposes Effort to Repeal FERC Authority Over LNG Terminals

The members of the Natural Gas Council (NGC), representing all sectors of the natural gas industry from producers, to pipelines, to utilities and consumers, today expressed their opposition to S. 3056, legislation that would repeal provisions of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 that deal with the approval and siting of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminals.

The Center for Liquefied Natural Gas (CLNG) has submitted the following letter to The National, a United Arab Emirates publication, in response to a January 9 article entitled “US wary of Yemeni gas tankers.” The National published the letter in its January 21 edition.
